Ekiti Govornor, Ayodele Fayose, yesterday disclosed
plans to begin payment of monthly STIPENDS—a fixed regular sum paid as a Salary
or allowance— and other forms of empowerment to 8,850 jobless Youths in the
state. He said that benefiting youths would be between 17 to 20 years. 50 of
them will be chosen randomly from each of the 177 wards WITHOUT POLITICAL
CONSIDERATION.
Dear reader, will giving Stipend be a solution to the
high unemployment rate or a chance for government official to embezzle funds?
Will it make the Youths lazy or strengthen them?
